Some days, the morning really is a short hand message for how the day will go. This morning, my left contact felt like it had sand caught underneath. Took it out, cleaned it, put it back in, still couldn't wear it. Forgot that I stepped on my glasses the other day. I've been walking around wearing an old pair I found last time I cleaned out my medicine chest -- prescription is at least 7 years old. And the day never really improved . . .

Until someone I worked with on a huge project recently stopped by my office this evening to say thank you. With a bouquet of flowers. It is so nice to be appreciated.

Hey! I was having amazing difficulty with MY left lens yesterday too, AND my glasses are from an older script!

Where're my flowers? ;-)

If my cellphone was a cameraphone, I'd take a picture and post it to share.

Could it be the contact was inside out? That happens to me sometimes and its really hard to tell if my eye is bothering me just because or if it's because it's inside out.

That might have been the problem at first, but I took it out, flipped it, put it back. Still hurt. Took out again, washed, put back. Etc. By then, my eye was so irritated that nothing was going to be comfortable. Spent so much time trying to get it to work that I missed my usual train and had to ride the next (full, standing room only) one. :sigh: Yesterday was not a good day.
