Consistency
Sep. 28th, 2006 02:06 pmI know, consistency is the hobgoblin of a small mind according to Emerson. But I've noticed something in Blue Bloods that is really irritating me. The author goes to great pains to point out that Mimi Force has a size twenty-two waist and size ten feet....but later in the book, Mimi muses about her metabolism and how she stays so thin and yet eats all of the whipped cream frosting and cupcakes she wants, and drinks like a flapper just before Prohibition. And even later, she is deemed to be an excellent candidate to be a professional model, having the perfect figure. Now, I'm not saying that larger women can't be models, but larger models are the exception not the rule. How is she a perfect model size, but still a 22 and still very thin? Did something get changed in the editing process? Inquiring minds want to know.
