The Hotel Hershey

Home again, back from the spa weekend (sort of) at The Hotel Hershey. The most decadent thing I've done in a while. Loved the robes. Between treatments, you could lounge in The Quiet Room, drinking tea, cocoa, coffee or chilled water, eating muffins or bread, reading magazines (or a book if you brought one). I've been showered, massaged, buffed and polished, then rubbed in chocolate-smelling lotion.
Hershey kisses everywhere.
And the food. ::sigh:: New favorite drink: the Cocoa Butter frozen drink offered in the Fountain Cafe. Breakfast in the Circular Dining Room? Excellent. I'm not a particular fan of breakfast buffets generally, but this was A-MAY-ZING. Blintzes. Mmmm. Muesli. Ate some healthy stuff, then lots of unhealthy stuff.
Bought chocolate for the office from Chocolate World, took the historical trolley tour of the town (fascinating), wandered around the Hershey Gardens. Didn't make it to the amusement park, but that's okay. Played a doubles game of table tennis that followed no known rules and fed the koi in the ponds. The weather was gorgeous. We had a fantastic time, and will be going back in December or January.
Only disappointment: after having cuban/mojito treatments in the spa, we all wanted to drink mojitos in the bar. Probably all of the spa guests do. But the bar was out of mint! We teased the bartender about this a little bit, then ordered other drinks.
