Borders was kind enough to send me a coupon for 40% of LKH's Danse Macabre. Thanks, but no thanks. Even at that price, the book costs more than I'm willing to spend (which is $0). I'm finished with Anita Blake and Merry Gentry even. Anita bores and disgusts me; the boink-a-thon and judgmentalness were too much. Merry's straight up sex was okay, but even her story isn't advancing. Blech. I need plot, I need development, I need something other than nonstop shagging.

For an extremely entertaining review of Danse Macabre, check out Bam's site.

I will probably use the 40% coupon for Nora Roberts' Angels Fall. Without the coupon, I would've waited until the pb release or picked it up at the library, since I have declared a moratorium on hardbacks.

Um, how much respect will you lose for me if I say, "I'll take it!"?

None :) I know that she appeals to others, even if she isn't to my taste any longer.

Here's the link to the coupon (http://f.chtah.com/i/9/276579820/hamilton.htm).

You might enjoy this group: http://community.livejournal.com/lkh_lashouts/. I just found it before my vacation, and I'm enjoying all the snark.

A community just for LKH exfans? Disgruntled fans? Thanks for the link -- I'm going to bookmark the community and go back to read the snark this afternoon :)

it's sick, I know. After reading Bam's review, I want to read the book. I've never had any urge to read LKH either.

Sick, sick, sick.

It's kind of like a train or car wreck -- you don't want to look, but it's so fascinating that you can't help but peek. I peeked at the last book, but I've resolved not to peek at this one.
