General observations and questions

The line between kitsch-cool and tacky is quite fine. Both were on display at HonFest today. I forgot my camera, but if I find any photos online I'll link to them or post them here. It was warm enough to wear shorts but not hot, and windy. All the AquaNet used on the beehive hairdos was necessary. But it did its job :)
I've mentioned that I love my neighborhood jewelry store before, right? My watch died this morning at 9:30ish. But I didn't notice until some time around noon. Stopped in the store after running errands and had the battery replaced in less than five minutes. Fortunately, I wasn't in the store long enough to fall in love with any jewelry (although there was a gorgeous amethyst bracelet that The Biochemist would love, so I may go back and buy it in anticipation of her birthday).
And tomorrow is the Federal Hill Jazz & Blues Festival. Hope the weather stays so pleasant; if it does, I'll stroll up and check out the music.
Daniel Cabrera (pitcher for the Orioles) always hops over the chalk base line as he returns to the dugout from the mound. Superstition of some sort? Habit?
What's the proper way to pronounce "Lohse" as in Kyle Lohse, reliever for the Twins? The announcers keep saying "Lowsh" but it looks like it should be "Lowse". Maybe his name is like Brett Favre's "Farve".
Looked at the mmp version of Chesapeake Blue at the library today. I had never picked it up before, because I have the hardback. It was sitting in a display rack as I waited to check out, so I picked it up and flipped through it. The step back photo of the cover is absolutely gorgeous -- a photo of a sailboat at sunset. [It's marred by review quotes, but still beautiful.] I'm almost sorry that I don't have a copy fo the mmp now, since the hardback cover is sort of bland.
Have you checked out the spa at Hotel Hershey (here)? The Girl Weekend is scheduled and the hotel room booked, so now I just have to decide what spa treatments I want. The Mojito Scrub sounds good...but so does everything else on the menu. I've been warned though, that the Fondue Wrap is only for people who have no space or constraint issues.
