I would feel so much less stress if I could just stop caring about work. Really. Yet again, I am at work for 11+ hours. It has been this way for the last two weeks and will continue through the end of this month at least. I need a drink. I need a vacation. I want a damn raise.

Related to the last, I just wrote up my annual self-evaluation. The process makes me laugh, in a sad, frustrated sort of way. Is anyone going to evaluate themselves as performing poorly? I don't think so, not even the people who are useless and come to work only to spend hours surfing the net or chatting with their friends, etc. Especially not them.

Oh, but let's not forget, those people who do nothing truly believe the company would cease to exist if they left. Yeah, that'll be what happens!

Yes, they are the glue that holds the office together. Or maybe just the gum stuck to the bottom of the office's collective shoe :)
