Weekend miscellanea

jmc_bksIt was a movie weekend. Saw one on Saturday and one on Sunday.
First: If you have not seen Walk the Line, you really ought to go see it as soon as possible. Joaquin Phoenix was excellent, and his singing was pretty good, too.
Second: Was there some kind of Harry Potter conspiracy? The first two movies played on several different cable channels on Saturday and Sunday. I saw the most recent movie on Saturday, and can only say that some of those kids have NOT hit puberty in a happy way. But the movie was pretty good. It leaves me wondering how a great many things are going to be explained in later movies. A huge amount of information was omitted in order to keep the movie to 2.5 hours.
Third: At last! Another win for the Packers! It has been a sad, sad season.
