I love lazy Sundays. It was overcast today but cleared up in the afternoon. I assembled the hammock that Mom gave me for Christmas. It takes up a huge chunk of my backyard. The frame was easy to assemble and hooking the hammock up was fine . . . until I sat down in it and sank all the way to the concrete. So I adjusted, then readjusted and readjusted again. The chain could be a link or two shorter, but I couldn't get the hammock to stretch any farther. Maybe after it has been used a little more, it'll stretch the last little bit I needed.
Lounged in it in the sunshine, drinking a diet coke and eating a slice of Cinnamon Raisin Chip bread. The only thing better would've been drinking a margarita, but I didn't have the ingredients for that. It's a good thing that I have a privacy fence out back -- there is no graceful way to get in or out of a hammock. I'm lucky that I didn't flip myself out of it.
