I need to go back and revise my response to Candy's meme of famous people I'd do, keeping in mind Gregory Peck. I don't know what he may have been like in real life, and truly I don't really care; adding him to the list is a result of his acting...and good looks, of course :) His portrayals of Joe Bradley and Atticus Finch are two of my favorite performances ever. And I watched Gentlemen's Agreement today, which sealed the deal for me. Wow! The ending didn't thrill me (I liked Ann more than Cathy) but, still -- wow! What a great movie and what a great actor.

I started and put down two historicals yesterday afternoon -- Kleypas' Devil in Winter and Stuart's The Devil's Waltz. Neither was awful, they were just sort of ~meh~ to me. I'm sure I'll go back and finish them, but they didn't hook me. Now I'm a little worried about starting Kinsale's Midsummer Moon. Maybe I should cleanse my reading palate so to speak.

Finished Madame Bovary's Ovaries. It'll merit an entry of its own, complete with links to various sites. Kind of mixed feelings. But it has sent me off on a hunt of other bio-criticism of literature, namely that of Harold Bloom.

Picked up a book by a new to me author yesterday. Don't remember the name or the title off hand (the book's upstairs and I can't be bothered to go get it at the moment), but I bought it because of the setting: Australia, just post-World War I.

Leslie Glass has a new book out, at least it looked new, I didn't check the copyright. Looks like a women-fiction-y mystery. What happened to her April Woo series?
