It's Monday.

And I would love to have something to write about for SBD, if only as a sort of bloggish thank you to Beth, who pointed me in the direction of the fabulousity that is rustic onion tarts.  (Although I think the quiche turned out even better than the tart.)

But...I've got nothing.  The only thing I read over the weekend was Kristin Hardy's The Chef's Choice, which has been well-reviewed elsewhere in blogland, including over at Dear Author

Rustic! It's rustic? How quaint.

I curse myself for creating a craving within for an onion-tomato tart. Totally my own fault.

The recipe called it rustic. I think because instead of being baked in a pie or tart tin, the pastry is just sort of folded over the onions, tomato and cheese to make a kind of purse. Which worked for me because I realized after I started caramelizing the onions that I don't own a pie pan. Or a tart tin. Instead I have a plethora of 9x11 pans. Why? I'm not really sure. I bought one, but the others just sort of accumulated. Someone in my extended family is probably missing their cake pan or their lasagna pan, I'm sure.
