Delayed recognition
Feb. 13th, 2008 09:28 amI just realized that the actress who plays the Fat Lady in Prisoner of Azkaban is also the Vicar of Dibley. I kept looking at her and trying to figure out where I'd seen her before.
And the actor who plays Owen was Barty Crouch Sr. in The Goblet of Fire.
Plus, the cast includes Hugh Bonneville and Emma Chambers, two actors I find quite funny.
In short, I would recommend adding The Vicar of Dibley to your Netflix queue.

Date: 2008-02-14 06:59 pm (UTC)My favourites would be the third and fourth series, which are set during the Regency and WW1 respectively, but I think the second series, which was set in Elizabethan times, also had it's moments.
I think the co-writer for the latter three series was Ben Elton, rather than Rowan Atkinson - so perhaps that's where the difference lies.
If I had to choose one series, I'd opt for the last, if only because it's so mind-boggling to watch a comedy set in the trenches.
