I just realized that the actress who plays the Fat Lady in Prisoner of Azkaban is also the Vicar of Dibley. I kept looking at her and trying to figure out where I'd seen her before.

And the actor who plays Owen was Barty Crouch Sr. in The Goblet of Fire.

Plus, the cast includes Hugh Bonneville and Emma Chambers, two actors I find quite funny.

In short, I would recommend adding The Vicar of Dibley to your Netflix queue.

I love The Vicar of Dibley!

Oh, and to add to your trivia, the guy who does the voice for the Shrunken Head on the Knight Bus in Azkaban is Lenny Henry, the Vicar's real-life husband and star of the equally brilliant Britcom, Chef!.

And even more trivia, Vicar of D. is written by Richard Curtis - who wrote Love Actually, the film of Bridget Jones Diary and who co-wrote Blackadder.

Which series? Or do you get them all?

It looks like there are multiple series, but I've only requested the first one. If I like it, I'll go back and add the others. Is there a particular series that you'd recommend?

Unhelpfully, it's more that I wouldn't recommend the first - but it's a long time since I've seen it, and perhaps it's better than I remember.

My favourites would be the third and fourth series, which are set during the Regency and WW1 respectively, but I think the second series, which was set in Elizabethan times, also had it's moments.
I think the co-writer for the latter three series was Ben Elton, rather than Rowan Atkinson - so perhaps that's where the difference lies.

If I had to choose one series, I'd opt for the last, if only because it's so mind-boggling to watch a comedy set in the trenches.

I think I've seen part of the fourth series, but I didn't understand what was going on, just saw Rowan Atkinson running around in an army uniform.

almost enough to make me want to restart netflix. I just listened to Lenny Henry read a book on tape and he was wonderful.

I go through phases of loving Netflix and then feeling ~eh~. It all depends on what's in my queue...which is mostly tv series lately.
