Note to self: there's a reason you buy the Nyquil and Dayquil Liquid Gelcaps. Despite the price difference, the reason is valid. Do not ever again be fooled -- you are being penny foolish. Better to pay more and not gag on the medicine.

Second note to self: leaving half full water bottles in the car over night is a bad idea, especially when the temperature drops down to 15F.

Get it together, 'kay?

I'm still recovering from the nasty bug that felled everyone in my office (we were like dominoes), so what little brain power I have, I spent on my post over at Readers Gab.

Dammit! I was at the pharmacy and didn't buy NyQuil! I bought Contact C because I remember trying it once and being set to sleep. So far nothing is touching this bug.

I hope you are feeling better and my penny pinching self is making notes right with you. I swear the box says they contain the exact same ingredients and yet, they aren't working!!

And at least the water bottle was half full ;)

I am feeling better, thanks Cindy! I slept for ~15 hours yesterday, and seem to have shaken most of this bug. Now I'm just a little congested.

I haven't noticed a difference in effect for the brand name medicine and the generic, so the penny pinching is okay there. The big difference for me is syrup vs. gelcap -- it's worth the extra money not to taste the medicine, which nauseates me.

Glad you are feeling better - I'm on the mend also! What's weird are pills with stomach coatings - they do nothing for me so I think my stomach acid can't eat through the stuff in time. Crazy meds.

And the Contact C knocked me out. Which is exactly what I needed!
