Mike Gravel is a surprise, since I've paid only cursory attention to him. Kucinich as the #2 wasn't a surprise. I expect him to bow out soon, though. Edwards is my pragmatic choice but in my heart I think its going to be a duke out between Clinton and Obama.

Using the highly scientific method of making up the answers without properly understanding the issues, turns out I'm a democrat - 86% Edwards, 84% Obama, 82% Clinton. I should emigrate to Iowa.

Up until now, my 12 year old and I were choosing who we would support by who had the cutest children, and were leaning towards Obama.

(We get the most ridiculous amount of coverage of the American elections. I know it's important, but with any other country we're barely told who they've elected - with America, we follow the whole thing in painstaking detail.)

Incidentally, I'm working through my Christmas books, and read Silent as the Grave yesterday. Really enjoyed it - thanks for the review. Went straight to Amazon to order Silent in the Sanctuary.

Doing the same thing as Marianne, I've got Kucinich 92%, Mike Gravel 88% and Chris Dodd 77%. I've heard of Kucinich, but never heard of the two others at all, or of my lowest (Fred Thompson, 11% and Tom Tancredo 10%). I hate not having a TV!!

Did you ever watch Law & Order, Rosario? (Was it broadcast abroad? It's a tv franchise here, with a bunch of legal/mystery spin off shows.) Fred Thompson played the district attorney on the show for a long time. Biden is a senator from Delaware and Dodd is a senator from New Hampshire (I think); Richardson is the governor of New Mexico.

I've been trying to ignore all of the political hype -- they all started campaigning two years out, which is ridiculous.

The Obama children are quite cute, aren't they?

The election coverage is insane when you consider it is 10 months away! And it has been like this for almost a year now. I'm tired of hearing about them all.

I'm glad you enjoyed Silent as the Grave! I've got a hard copy of Silent in the Sanctuary ordered as well; I'm resisting the temptation to cancel the big Amazon order and just download an e-copy.
