A source of much knowledge?
Sep. 24th, 2007 11:39 amI received a frantic phone call from The Biochemist yesterday. She and The Chemist were supposed to leave for the airport for their trip to Oz in an hour and a half, but he couldn't find his wallet. They'd been running around looking for it for an hour. He was sure he needed his license and passport, what could he do? She was sure I'd know the answer.
My answer: Err, well, I'm pretty sure only one form of identification is necessary -- passport is on the list of acceptabl forms. But just in case, have you checked tsa.gov or the State Department's website?
Uh, no.
Because *I* would know better? I appreciate the confidence, but if your three week trip is depending on the answer, a more official source is probably advisable.
I received a much calmer call back about 20 minutes later, telling me that the wallet had been located and that she double checked at TSA's website -- passport is sufficient.
