So, I started listening to the audiobook of Brockmann's Force of Nature. I'm not impressed so far by either narrator.

Question: how is Starrett supposed to be pronounced? In my mind, I hear STAR-rett or maybe STAIR-rett, but the narrator pronounced it Star-RETT. Where should the emphasis be?

And I forgot to mention -- I stopped at Tim Horton's in Connecticut. I had to stop because Cindy and Kristie have mentioned the Canadian company and I was intrigued. The breakfast sandwich was quite tasty, as far as fast food goes :)

Gah, now I'm going to have to look at a map. Somewhere just off I-95. Maybe it was RI just before CT? I thought I'd crossed into CT, but who knows. I saw TH listed on exit signs in CT, RI and MA.

Okay, according to TH's store locator, there are stores in Norwich, Groton, Pawcatuck and North Stonington. I think maybe I stopped in North Stonington, 'cause that looks like it is very close to the RI/CT state line.

Ohhhh, next time you have to get two chocolate dip donuts. Yes two. You moan way too much through the first one to truly appreciate. Therefore, you need a second ;)

Like you I would have said Star for emphasis but now that I try to pronounce it the T's seem to hit harder.
