Weekend stuff
Feb. 24th, 2008 03:59 pmThe Biochemist has introduced me to the musical version of crack. And it is called Cobra Starship and The Cab. We saw them at The Warehouse last night. The Cab? Good. Young, very young. We the Kings? Also good. Metro Station? Liked the music, the keyboard player was fun to watch, but listening without visuals would be better because the co-lead singers were a bit skeezy. And Cobra Starship was excellent. The people watching was as good as the music, too. Many, many teenagers. Parents standing bored in the back. We ended up hanging out with a couple of people our age who approached with the question, Do you have kids here or do you like the music too? Um, no kids, thanks. Just here for the music.
Vantage Point totally worth full fare. Except that was so NOT the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca. And the Alamo movie/brewhouse? Awesome. Balmer, please take note.
On the reading front: Grimspace by Ann Aguirre totally rocks. And I'm rapidly becoming bored by the insecure whining of Dante Valentine.
The Chemist is making us confetti meatloaf and tater tots for dinner, and we're being couch potatoes. Later we'll watch the Oscars to critique the clothes and lust for Jon Stewart.
That's all for now :)
