jmc_bks: (flaming june)
Sometimes I'll go for a month and not have any books to mail for PBS. More often it is usually one a week or so. But right now I have five books to mail, plus two to outside of PBS, and six more already winging their ways toward other readers. Of these 11 books, only 3 are newly listed. The rest have been listed for as long as 8 months without being picked up. I wonder, if I plotted out the length of time posted and the requests, would there be a pattern? I don't think I've ever had 11 books going out at once before. Yay, me, though. Lots of credits to us on other books.

Anybody seen a preview of the movie Amazing Grace? I checked out the website, but am wondering what the word of mouth is. The totally shallow part of me wants to see it simply for the man candy (Ioan Gruffudd, Ciaran Hinds, Rufus Sewell), but the serious part of me is interested in the actual story and the production values. Inside information, anyone?

Walter Reed was embarrassed (I assume) by the WaPo articles (click here for one article and links for others) on Sunday and began looking into repairs on Monday, according to a follow up piece in The Post today.

I have four half written posts for my debut on Access Romance's Reader Gab next week. Not thrilled with any of them. :sigh: The two I keep going back to: Mt. TBR and When Strong Becomes TSTL. Others: Pushing the Sexual Envelope? and What Does It Take? (what makes readers pick up new authors?). Any opinions or preferences?

There's wild speculation that B&N and Borders could merge at the prompting of an activist hedge fund shareholder. Via Galley Cat.
