Reminder to self: it's Friday. The end of the week is in sight. And I've already had one simple pleasure: the non-existent line at Starbucks this morning (usually it is down the hall and I can't be arsed to wait). So I have a grande, unsweetened, iced green tea to sip on all morning.

To the lady next to me on the training wearing eau d'vomit: please bathe and/or wash your clothing.

To Amazon: you are the biggest damn tease ever. Sending me an email that my HP shipment is being readied to ship...but not shipped yet and no tracking information? That's just mean.

My sister just mentioned to me that someone on her f-list got the shipping-prep notice yesterday...and that it arrived today. I don't think I'll be that lucky, since I haven't received the actual shipping notice. But it's still enough to send me hurrying straight home after work tonight.

Yes - my local bookshop couldn't guarantee they'd have the CDs on the night (My eleven year old is dyslexic, and the book's too long for her) so I ordered them on-line. Haven't even got a preparing to ship notice, which means they won't get here till Monday at the soonest. So do I cancel, and see if I can find them somewhere else? Or just resign myself to a lot of reading aloud...

Apparently 1 in every 43 homes in our town is getting the book delivered (we're N. Ireland's HP hotspot!)

I haven't listened to any of the CDs, but I've heard good things about them, especially Jim Dale's interpretation of Umbridge's "ahem, ahem". Don't know how many people in my area are getting copies. A couple of my friends will read it eventually, but no one else in my immediate circle (other than my sister) is as impatient as I am for midnight. Or for the knock of the UPS man.

I HATE people who stink. Ugh. Can't they think of the rest of us who have to tolerate their funkness?!?!

Starbucks rules. That's all I'm saying. LOL.


P.S. Livejournal needs to add an extra feature that let's people post their own name and URL. It's just silly to have to add my name and site to the posts just so people know who I am. Thank god I don't have a common name or people would think I'm someone else. LMAO!!!! Ugh, I hate being Anonymous.

I thought about being at the store at midnight, but I don't have the patience for the lines or hoards of small children. So I'm sticking with the UPS guy.

Re: the smell, I didn't notice it at first, so I'm wondering if it was an odor attached to her clothes? Ended up breathing through my mouth and bolting as soon as the train came to a stop.

I'm not sure why LJ doesn't have any other option for non-members. There's probably an answer somewhere in their FAQ or on a forum somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. But you don't have to leave your blog address behind when you comment, just a name. Now that I've bloghopped over your way, I have the two associated in my mind.

So long as you know who I am. LOL. I guess I'd never been to a blog that didn't automatically include your URL or didn't ask for it so people know who you are.

Although I do wonder [since I DID try and click] isn't OpenID the same as LiveJournal User?! OpenID apparently logs you in and, well, isn't that what Livejournal User does?! Mind buggling. LOL.
