OMG! I just saw a commercial for Viagra. And at the end, Pfizer plugged its value membership -- join and every fourth prescription will be free. Discount erections! What more could anyone want?

Exactly.

My sister's response was equally disgusted but in a different direction: most insurance plans will pay for a guy to get an erection, but many won't cover birth control (or at least some types of it, especially if they are permanent and/or elective). Because getting it up is more important than any consequences, at least in the eyes of insurers.

Oh yeah, I'm with you on that. I had to wait a year to change insurance plans before I could have the UAE procedure for my fibroids. It was safer, cheaper, considerably less invasive...and NOT covered by my HMO, who would rather have seen me sliced open and possibly sans uterus. I think this may be changing now, but it still sucks to be anyone but a man with ED.
