My copy of Al-Mawrid arrived yesterday. And can I just say,  Wow!  I thought I ordered a slightly used copy of the 2004 edition, but the 2007 edition, shrink-wrapped, CD attached, faux-leather bound, gilt lettered version arrived on my doorstep last night.  If I had a digital camera, I'd post a picture so ya'll could squee over it, too.

Don't normally read fanfic, but I loved that. Stayed up until 1.15 last night reading it - never a good move before a Monday morning, but worth it. (Hadn't noticed the story about the big reveal wasn't complete - so disappointed when there wasn't an ending.)

The author seems to be posting a fresh chapter every day or so, and is half through, so if you check back tomorrow there should be more up. Or you could wait a bit for the whole story to be posted.

Hallelujah. If coping well with delayed gratification displays emotional intelligence then I'm an emotional moron - at least as far as books are concerned. Not good about waiting for stories.
By the end of the week she'll have me convinced that Miles and Gregor are a couple, and I'll have trouble with Ekatrin in the real books.
