OT: Superbowl commercials

I didn't catch many of the Superbowl commercials -- I tended to flip over to the rerun of Angels Fall. But according to WaPo's TV guru, they weren't impressive.

I caught the Oprah-Dave one, meh. Also saw two of the Chevy commercials. The "It's Gettin' Hot in Here" one? Not so hot, IMO. But I liked the "People who love cars love Chevy" one, with all of the different personalities singing. Don't know that it'll get me to buy a Chevy next time I go car shopping, though [not for a long time, knock on wood]. Over all, I think a lot of money was spent on some pretty boring commercials that have not influenced my spending habits.

Because I live in Canada and the Canadian station that broadcasts the game (although I heard it was actually the CRTC) *takes over* the station, we here never get to see the commercials. I went to the same website and watched them and to be honest wasn't that impressed either. I did like the Blockbuster one though with the guinea pig and rabbit trying to get the "mouse" to work. I thought that one was cute. But still - they were much better than the crappy ones we got to see!!!
