SBD: Want ad
Jan. 29th, 2007 07:49 amGood morning. Or just morning. It's Monday again, so it is time for Smart Bitches Day. Yay! Or not.
My contribution today: a want ad. To be more specific, a personal ad from a romance heroine.
This isn't what she would say, really, since most heroines don't think they are doormats (and their authors probably wouldn't admit it about their heroines, either), but this is the subtext, or what she ends up with. So why not just throw it out there in big bold letters?
On an unrelated note, I've got two other SBD/essay ideas floating in my head. One is courtesy of Sybil and the other is courtesy of a book I read over the weekend. Depending on how busy I am today and later this week, they may see the light of day or they may languish in my trusty scribbling notebook.

SWF seeks alpha male toruinrun life
Professional, accomplished, independent woman used to running her life and her business seeks domineering alpha @sshole to overpower her. Must be willing to stomp all over her ego; treat her like a child; disregard all accomplishments to date, as well as abilities. Must be prepared to awaken SFW sexually -- only rarely had sex and it was bad. Must be prepared to take responsibility for all decision-making, include where will live (not the big, bad city), what will do for a living (be a housewife), what will wear (can't be too "slutty"), how will act (like a Stepford wife), etc. Nice, reasonable men need not apply.
