Not up on popular culture
Jan. 23rd, 2007 09:38 amOscar nominations are listed here, and many other places, I'm sure. I haven't gone to the movies much this year -- unlike last year, when I saw all of the films nominated for Best Film except Capote. This year? None of them. In fact, the only films nominated that I've seen are Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (art direction) and An Inconvenient Truth (documentary)...and one of those I saw on DVD rather than at the theater.
I think the Charles and Landmark on E are showing The Queen, which I'm vaguely interested in, and Volver, which I do want to see (I <3 Almodovar). I'm more interested in Babel, but don't think it's playing anywhere. And maybe Children of Men.

I'd like to see Children of Men - I read the book, but I've forgotten it enough that it wouldn't spoil the film.
