Down to their last dime?
Jan. 14th, 2007 07:34 pmOkay, who in the Roddenberry family at Paramount thought it would be a good idea to let Hummer use the Star Trek theme for a commercial? Were they that hard up for cash?
The grammarian in me, mostly reclusive, cringes when I hear "Boldly go." Go boldly. Go Boldly, I say!

Date: 2007-01-19 12:07 am (UTC)Gene Rodenberry and Majel Barret-Rodenberry (AKA Nurse Chapel on the original show) got completely screwed out of most Star Trek money. Paramount owns everything. Majel used to have a small company that made Star Trek costumes and jewelry and Paramount would sue her every time they got a new corporate counsel.
So who in the Paramount mega-entertainment-conglomerate thought it was a good idea?
