Tuesday was the street date for Ann Brashares' fourth Travelling Pants book, Forever in Blue.

I enjoyed the first three books of the series, though I think the first and third were better than the second. I'm on the fence about this one, because I thought the ending of the third book was a good stopping point. Part of me wonders if Brashares' original story arc was for four books, or if it was added after the fact based on popularity or pressure. I have a coupon for 30% off, plus a little bit of Borders Rewards that will expire at the end of the month, so I'll probably succumb to the lure, just to have the whole series. I'm a pushover....

And Christopher Moore's lastest will be out next Tuesday!

Ooh yes, my copy of Pants is on hold at the library. I really liked the first three too, but I hate shelling out for YA books in hardcover.

Weren't there some cliffhangers at the end of 3? Ah! I can't remember. And I loaned my copy to someone about a year ago and don't think I'm ever going to get it back. I might have to buy another.

I don't really remember cliff hangers or where the book ended, other than at the end of the summer, at the beach. It just seemed like a good place to end the series, at the end of the high school summer. 'Cause no matter how much people say they are going to stay in touch with their BFFs from high school, do they really?
