Blood and Chocolate

I saw a comment on the Reader to Reader Message Board over at AAR about a movie adaptation of Blood & Chocolate. So, off to IMBD to investigate. And there is a movie coming out. I'm not sure if I'm pleased or horrified. Will the book be butchered? or will the movie work? Olivier Martinez is Gabriel. Mrow. The fellow playing Aiden looks vaguely familiar. Otherwise, I don't recognize any of the cast. Release date: 26 January.

I may have to pull out my copy of B&C to re-read after I finish Meljean Brook's Demon Angel,

That's always the question. Like with the Nora Roberts movies, I KNOW I'll probably hate them, but I'll watch them anyway.

BTW, how's Demon Angel going? I'm reading it right now, too, and loving it.

Demon Angel

I'm really enjoying Demon Angel and am almost finished. I think the world building is amazing and very thoughtfully done; the characters of Lilith and Hugh are excellent. The only thing that is bothering me a little is the pacing. The first ~200 pages flew by but the next ~100 were a little sluggish. It has picked up again, though, so I'm hoping for a great ending (beyond the HEA).

If you read IMDB comments re trailer and public reaction to it you will not waste your time or money watching this movie.Reviewers have already trashed it to hell and back as utter drivel Even the music got panned ,and the author hated choice of Oliver Martinez who is nothing like her character. This movie is pretty scuppered before it opens in a couple of weeks time.

That's a shame. Martinez isn't necessarily who I would've picked (too old and too exotically French for the role of Gabriel, who I believe is supposed to be young for his position in the pack). Well, maybe this will be a DVD rental instead.
