Am I furniture?

jmc_bksAnd if I am furniture, what does The Goofy Cat sit on when I'm not around? Wait, don't answer that -- I can tell by the layer of cat hair I vacuum weekly where she curls up: in my favorite chair. Right now, I'm on the couch, with my feet up on the ottoman. She investigated the laptop, then draped herself along my lower legs, head on my ankle, paws to either side, stretching almost up to my knee. Which can be pleasant, especially on a chilly winter day. Except my legs are falling asleep.
I picked up a package and mailed stuff at the post office this morning. Yay to the package I picked up! Thought it was going to be a gift I ordered, but instead it was a gift from The Computer Guy and his wife: a Packers couch throw. Which is beautiful, and quite generous since it came without a comment about their performance this year. [The Computer Guy is a lifelong Bears fan.]
While at the post office, I ended up sending two packages express when I meant to send one priority/regular and one express. Didn't realize the error til the clerk had everything rung up. There were about 20 grouchy people waiting behind me in line, so I was stuck. If I had asked him to void the transaction and start over, there would've been a riot. Oh well.
