I just spent an obscene amount of money at Target. I bought all of the Bratz paraphernalia that I needed for the charity gift wagon we are decorating at work, plus all of the little gifts for everyone at work and in the neighborhood. And I was weak: I bought a new bag, loafers, and two long sleeved tees for me. Plus two books: Hope Tarr's Blaze, and a reissue of Mary Balogh's The Gilded Web.

But my Christmas shopping is now over, but for gift cards and a print. :sigh of relief:

Ooops, spoke too soon. Need to find a copy of Charlie Brown's Christmas. Hmmm. I have a coupon for a free piece of birthday cake at Borders. Guess that's what I'll be doing this afternoon: buying yet another book and eating cake :)

I'm going to another hockey game. Why? Is it really how I want to spend my Saturday evening? Frankly, no. But I'm going anyway. I'm told that the team playing the Caps tonight is a good one, and the seats are right behind the penalty box, so I should be thrilled. Eh. I'm pleased to be going to dinner at the Chop House before the game...love their corn bread.
