I got to the train station this morning and realized that I left my wallet in my book bag last night...so no cash, no bank card, no drivers license. Which is fine, lunch-wise, since I have soup to heat. But it means no Starbucks (okay, I'll have to live without a maple nut scone and green tea) and no going to Borders at lunchtime to pick up a copy of Born in Death (oh no!). It's just as well, since I preordered a copy at a cheaper price than the Borders' price...but it hasn't shipped yet!
Lecture to self: it won't kill me to wait until the book arrives later this week or early next week.
Hey, it's election day in the US. Go vote. Vote early, vote often. All that good stuff. I'll be voting this evening, after I go home and get my wallet and proof of i.d. -- although it wasn't required for the primary.

Date: 2006-11-07 02:45 pm (UTC)I forgot my wallet one day recently too! And I didn't have any lunch, so I had to go around to all of my friends asking if I could borrow some cash. I felt like panhandler! "Please, be a pal, I'm so hungry..." Surprising how few people carry extra cash.
