Jay posted a link to Amazon's 4 for 3 sale, and since I have no willpower at all and cannot resist a bargain (for books, at least), I pre-ordered a bunch of books.
To be delivered at some point in the future are:
Dates from Hell, Kelley Armstrong, et al. Hadn't heard about about this book before, but I like Armstrong and Harrison.
Broken, Kelley Armstrong. Elena's follow up book after a few books about other supernaturals. Hope there's more of Clay in this book; really liked her online novellas Savage, Ascension and Beginnings.
Sex, Lies and Online Dating, Rachel Gibson. I'm almost regretting this one, because her last few books have been really hit or miss for me. Oh well.
Vermont Valentine, Kristin Hardy. I liked a couple of Hardy's categories, and this one received a good review at AAR, so I thought I'd try it.
Traded to the Sheikh, Emma Darcy. Darcy is another HP author that I used to really like, because she wrote an excellent book about a marriage in trouble, Marriage Meltdown, I think. She may have fallen into cliche-land with this book, but I'll still give it a chance before consigning her to my list of no-longer-reads.
Flesh and Stone, Vickie Taylor. I've got Carved in Stone in my TBR mountain, and I've seen a couple of blurbs on other blogs, so I added it to the pile.
The Rogue's Return, Jo Beverley. I've been disappointed in the last couple of Beverly books, primarily because I like the Company of Rogues but am less impressed with the Georgian/Malloren series. But this installment will be of the Company, so maybe she'll be returned to my autobuy list.
Patience, Lisa Valdez. Follow up to one of the better books I read last year.
Lover Eternal, J.R. Ward. Same.
Warsworn, Elizabeth Vaughan. Same.
Unrelated to books, I nagged my sister into finally sending me a copy of her disc of photos from our vacation in Hawai'i. I posted my photos earlier. I'm not sure I explained: I took disposable cameras, but was persuaded not to use one because the bil wanted to use it when snorkeling. Instead, when I saw something I wanted to take a photo of, I used their camera or they took the shot for me. Hence, I have now received the last of the vacation photos. The disc included some surprises, including one of me, snoozing away on the shuttle flight from Honolulu to Hilo. I'm so not posting a copy of that one. But I'm going to post a few of the other ones I like...not all though, since the disk had nearly 200 shots.

My personal favorite, and one we tease the BIL about, because he has a livestock fetish. Always comes back w/ animal photos, no matter where they vacation.

Shark Cove on the North Shore, Oahu

Flow into the ocean at Kilauea, The Big Island

Black Sand beach at Kilauea

Chinaman's Hat islet, east side of Oahu

Date: 2006-02-01 02:11 am (UTC)I had Carved in Stone TBR for a couple of months and then I decided I was going to swap it next week and wanted to read it first. I haven't blogged about it, but I enjoyed it and read it in a matter of hours (something I hardly ever do).

Aren't they?
Date: 2006-02-01 12:16 pm (UTC)I'll bump up Carved in Stone to the top of the TBR soon. Maybe check the release date for the second book, so I read them sequentially.
