Scattered book reading

I usually read a couple of books at a time. The commute book is a paperback, while I generally save hardbacks and bigger books for reading at home because of carrying space. Lately I've been extremely scatter-shot in my reading, between problems with the commute (train breakdowns!!!), working at home and other stuff. I think I've got four or five books open, each one in a different place - briefcase/bag, bedside table, coffee table, recliner, etc. I've been working on Tithe bit by bit. I like it, but library books arrived via interlibrary loan and they take precedence, since they have to be returned while Tithe is mine and can be read at my leisure. Two of those library books are Queen of Attolia and King of Attolia, follow ups to The Thief, which I loved. I've started Queen and have been sucked back into Eugenides' world, and can hardly wait to finish it and move on to King. davidgallaher1 recommended Blankets, a graphic novel, back when I complained about bad luck with graphic novels and manga. I'm really enjoying it (thank you!) but it isn't a commute book, being large and heavy. KristieJ recommended Ride the Fire by Pamela Clare, and I found a copy at the library last night and started that. Must be decisive -- pick up one of these books and finish it, then move on to the next. But they all call to me for different reasons. It's a good thing I'll be off on Monday -- maybe I'll get a lot of reading done after running errands.
