Mini SBD entry:
Location, location, location. Setting has been on my mind because I read a book this past weekend that was set in New Zealand, I think, but didn't feel like it actually had a firm setting. Could've been anywhere -- England, Australia, NZ, US, etc. Setting wasn't really relevant to the progression of the story. I can't decide if that was good or bad. Should setting matter? Play a role? But nothing I have to say compares to Beth's blogs over the weekend about Chicago, so go read what she has to say instead. :)

sarahf's page. Wandering around AustenBlog, I bounced out to JASNA's journal, Persuasions, which has posted articles from its 1993 conference online. Haven't had much time to read them, but I loved the article about Mary Musgrove's whining. And I learned that a fictionalized movie about Jane's life is in the works! Who knew?
