I loved it because it was exactly what I needed. But it's one of those books that you have to be in the mood for. It's not powerful enough to yank you in--not because of the writing but because its nature. It's a fluffy book, a souffle of a book rather than something heavy that stays with you. Maybe that's why it's not getting the buzz. The books that get Buzz tend to be darker or more intense or...whatever.
It's on my keeper shelf next to the Wodehouse (well. it's on my computer so not exactly) because I go through times when fluff is exactly what I require and that book is a perfect example. Kate R And yes. Ferdinand the Bull. He's Hubert's ancestor.
