jmc_bksFirst, on the way home last night I stopped at the Vaccaro's stall in Union Station to enjoy an Italian pastry. I was going to try the St. Patrick's Day mint gelato, since ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
davidgallaher1 suggested it...but no gelato at Union Station. Second choice was tiramisu, since my sister requested that I enjoy some -- she could enjoy it vicariously through me :). Nope. They were sold out of pretty much everything, so I ended up with 2 raisin walnut cookies to nibble on the train ride home. I'll swing by the shop in Little Italy tomorrow, see if I can get a pint hand-packed gelato. It's on my mind now.
Second, are you wearing green? I have St. Patrick's Day socks on -- green heels and toes, and shamrocks embroidered on the ankles. Forgot last year and was variously pinched and kissed by friends and strangers.
Third, I'm so glad Comedy Central rebroadcasts The Colbert Report at 8:30pm, since I am asleep by 11:30 most nights. Loved Keith Olbermann the other night and Al Franken, too.
Fourth, I finished Kinsale's Uncertain Magic. Enjoyed it until the very end, which felt a little bit hurried and didn't entirely make sense to me. I'm going to reread it, I think, then maybe email Beth with questions :)
