Nope, that was the "official Signet statement." Amazing, huh? JMC's comment about that "not being a smart thing to say" was almost my exact reaction. Spin101 tells you that 1) you never say more than you have to at the time, and 2) you leave yourself enough room to maneuver later. IMO it was a bad message AND bad spin. And let's not even get started on its accuracy.
