*feeling whiney*

Missed the 6:50 train; the 7:19 was cancelled; the 7:35 was beyond standing room only.  It was become-intimately-acquainted-with-strangers crowded.

I miss the Biochemist.  It's weird, since we haven't lived in the same place for nearly half our lives, and I have other friends...but they aren't the same.  We grew up fighting horribly but still close enough to be able to finish each others' sentences.  I understand why she lives where she does (two body problem) but I still wish I saw her more.  Email and phone calls aren't the same.

Went to Borders yesterday with a giftcard burning a hole in my pocket.  Yet I left with no books, purchasing only a gift.  I picked up the next Lara Adrian book, the new Nora Roberts, Linnea Sinclair's Down Home Zombie Blues, and several other books, only to decide that I didn't need them.  Am I ill?

ETA:  I just checked my tags.  It has been two months since I posted anything like a book review.  I've been reading, just not attempting to gather and share my thoughts about what I've read.  My goal is to post at least one review per week now.

New Nora Roberts?!

Blood Brothers, the first book in her new paranormal trilogy, was released yesterday.

Oooh, interesting. I don't like getting her trilogies until they're done, though. I'll check it out next year!

Crowded situations would make me anxious!

I'm sorry about the biochemist. I know what you mean about e-mail and phone calls not being the same. I don't feel human if I don't see my best friend in person for over two weeks. I've also not seen my best bud in months and I now get weepy just reading e-mails. Too weird.

I'm staying out of bookstores right now. I have no clue what I would buy but knowing what you want to buy and not buying it. Yeah, you could be running a fever ;)

I found Lara Adrian's book in my TBR pile so I've dug it up.

I'm in a slump so I'm a-okay without reviews.
