The ides of April
Apr. 15th, 2008 07:42 amShould today be a holiday? Marked on the calendar as special? Well, no, today is not a holiday. But it should perhaps be renamed to "Hysterical Taxpayer Day". The lines at the post office are already outrageous.
Other random information: yesterday a new free daily (named "B") started distribution in Baltimore. I picked up a copy this morning, along with The Examiner. It makes The Examiner look loads more professional, which is saying something, since TE's editing and proofreading leave a great deal to be desired. *shrugs* Not that I'm looking for that much in depth from a free daily. I skim the articles, ignore the editorials (which have a slightly more conservative bent than I appreciate), check the weather and AL East standings, then do the crossword puzzle; it doesn't take the whole commute, and by the time I get to the office, my brain is awake.
