Cleaning out the personal library?
Oct. 2nd, 2007 11:30 amOne of the patrons of my local library must have purged her personal library; it kind of saddened me to see what was probably once a valued collection (and not cheap to acquire) placed one the sale rack, going for fifty cents per book. But I wasn't so sad that I didn't pick up a few books. It looked like the "donation" included the entire backlist of Susan Johnson (from back when she used many footnotes and wrote less squicky sex, IMO); the older categories of Rachel Lee, including her Conard County series; most of Kathryn Shay's Harlequin Superromances written before she started releasing the single title suspense that she's more known for now; and more, much more. I ended up picking up an old historical by Laurel Ames, whose name I recognize from recs for her Teller of Tales, along with a copy of Eve Vaughn's Contact and a couple of other books by unknown authors.
