An embarrassment of riches
Oct. 17th, 2006 08:04 pmOver the past couple of months, I have pre-ordered a variety of books, most of which were to be released sometime this fall. And being frugal (or trying to be, at least), I chose to have each order shipped as a group rather than as each individual book became available.
Over the weekend, I received an email notification that Bujold's The Sharing Knife: Beguilement had shipped.
And this morning, I received more notices. I'm going to have many, many books to choose from by the end of the week:
Bread and Roses, Too (YA)
Terror Timeline (NF)
Pink Ribbons Inc. (NF)
Warrior & Witch (SFF/P)
For Matrimonial Purposes (Chicklit)
1491 (NF)
If I could roll around with the books gleefully a la Demi Moore in An Indecent Proposal, I would. Except the spines of the hardbacks would poke more than dollar bills, I'm sure. So instead I'll be clutching them and calling them Preciousssss.
