A sign that I'm still not 100%
Mar. 30th, 2006 08:59 amI ended up not being able to leave early after my meeting yesterday. Then had to stop at Target for baby shower stuff and at the grocery store for ingredients for a pretzel pie. Picked up a copy of Bump in the Night, the anthology with a new In Death novella. Normally, I'd have that story read the same day the book was purchased, but not yesterday. Unpacked groceries and contemplated wrapping the baby stuff and then reading for a little bit. Didn't happen, I just toddled off to bed without doing anything. Dragged myself out of bed this morning and took medicine, so we'll see how coherent I am today.
Almost finished Finding Serenity, maybe will wrap up on the train ride home tonight. Rachel Caine has an essay in the book under her other name -- I'm not sure which is a pen name. I didn't realize that she was published under another name. Now I'll have to look up her other stuff. Back to the essay -- she dropped the crew of Firefly into the setting of Enterprise (Star Trek was apparently not part of that show's title - who knew?) and then predicted what would happen. It was pretty entertaining.
