Board stuff and a bad mood

My board meeting went really well yesterday. The national conference is in South Beach, Miami, this year, and I'm trying to get another board member to spring to go. It's a little spendy between the registration fee, hotel and airfare, but if the director and one board member pay their way, the national organization will pay for two employees/artists to attend. Since the topic/theme this year will be professional development for artists, we really want our education director and one of our better artist-educators to go. And the good news is that at least one board member seems to be seriously considering. Yippee! I'm happy, because I sort of told our ED in confidence that I would go if no one else would. But much as I'd like to go, I really can't afford it. Plus, I went to the conference last year when it was held in southern Arizona, and a couple of years ago when it was in Norfolk, and I've attended the autumn leadership conference in New York at least three times; it's time for someone else to step up.

I'm feeling kind of grumpy today and need a little cheese to go with my whine. So many of the questions I get could be avoided if people just read what I gave them before calling me to say that they didn't understand. But that's all I'm going to say about that, because I am resolved to be a glass half full person.

I fell asleep last night and missed The Closer. Anybody know if TNT will repeat it some time this week?
