As a sort of corollary to the Best of 2005, here are the books I'm looking forward to in 2006.

Memory in Death by J.D. Robb (late January)
Broken by Kelley Armstrong (June)
Lover Eternal by J.R. Ward (March)
Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris (April)
Patience by Lisa Valdez (August)
Don't Look Down by Jennifer Crusie and Bob Mayer (April)
Into the Storm by Suzanne Brockmann (December)
The new category by Susan Napier -- there's no info on Amazon about this, but P.Devi posted that Harlequin had a release, so I've put it on the list.
The next Harry Potter...although it probably won't be out until 2007.

I hadn't thought that far ahead. I'm so looking forward to Memory, that I can't see past it. I know there is supposed to be an In Death short story or novella out some time in the spring, too. I keep thinking of books I forgot to include!

Oooh! Thank you for the reminder that Ward's next book is due in March!

I way want Broken. Not sure if I will buy Definitely Dead or wait for the paperback. I still have the hb of the last one sitting here somewhere, unread.

Lover Eternal kicks ass. I was afraid it wouldn't be able to hold up to Dark Lover. LE is much more character driven. Dark Lover had to spend more time world building and introducing us to the brothers, I felt we should have been able to spend more time with Wrath and Beth.

I have never read a Robb book, so I am saved the hb decision on that one ;).

I'll probably check out Definitely Dead from the library, and wait for the paperback to add it to my collection. I've got the last book of the series in hardback: it was good, but not hardback price good, I thought.

How did you get a copy of Lover Eternal early? Review copy? ARC? I'm really looking forward to it.

I will put up a review at some point. I know she was running a contest at her site for an ARC. Not sure if it is done yet or not. Way nifty site if you haven't been, just needs to be updated more ;).

She also has a yahoo group. VERY high volume but I try and post tid-bits I catch about the books on my blog. But I check with her first just to make sure. But I am sure I miss a lot because there is no way I could keep up with it. Fun group though...

I posted the schedule as we know it [a href="http://redwyne.blogspot.com/2006/01/been-around-web.html"]here[/a]

I have all the other dead books in paperback and rebuy them so they match. The last two hb I bought as well, then sold to half price books. Yes library sounds like a good idea ;).

I have checked out her website...although not lately. Really liked the "interviews" with the guys. I don't remember all of those names for members of the brotherhood. Must re-read Dark Lover now to refresh my memory.
