I think (but don't have anything concrete to back this up) that Beau Crusoe is a non-traditional Regency wearing Trad clothes, just based on CK's other Trads. And I think (again, not sure if I'm recalling a post or just imagining it) that the hero is a sailor or adventurer of some sort.
Back in 2005, Harlequin announced it was doing away with its Historicals line distribution in the US, and summarily cancelled all contracts. There was a big uproar and that decision was backed off on.
