Ick. I read an ebook today that seemed kinda cool at first, if brief. But then it veered into Lora Leigh territory: the hero is human with animal traits, including -- you guessed it -- a barbed penis. My theory for reading and for sex generally is "whatever floats your boat", 'cause yanno, we all have different hot buttons and ticks...but the animal cock just squicks me out.

Your, right, it's a subjective thing. A barbed penis may turn somebody on, while for this reader, it's the quickest way for me to shut the book and throw it in the trash. I like how open-minded I am to such things, and I am sometimes, but a barbed penis, hmmm. Not ever interested in that. But like you said, whatever floats your boat.

I read one with a lizard hero who was barbed and had a hemi-penii (two peni just like snakes). Yikes. Squick-city. . . . Good writer though.
