Library books have arrived

I've got plans for the weekend, but must fit in a trek to the library. A bunch of books I reserved have arrived:

Simply Love by Mary Balogh
Into the Storm by Suzanne Brockmann
Transcendental Murder by Jane Langton
End of Iraq by Peter Galbraith

I just finished Simply Love. *Sigh* I want to write that well when I grow up.

I'm about to start it, I've been saving it for the weekend.

I've got Simply Unforgettable out from the library. Which is the previous book in this series, yes?

I've only ever read her Bedwyn books, so I'm curious to see how I like these.

Yep, Simply Unforgettable is the first book in the series. Though for this one I think it might help if you've read A Summer to Remember (and maybe the Bedwyns, too).

PS. - I'm about 70 pages in (it's hard to calculate with the ebook) and loving it!

I read (and loved) A Summer to Remember, but have read only one of the Simply books (Freya's). Should I go back and catch up on the Bedwyns, or can I read Simply Love without doing so?

I'd say yes. You do see all the Bedwyns here, but you don't really need to have read their books to understand what's going on (though you might see some characters you don't yet know). Slightly Scandalous is the one Slightly book you should read before this one, to understand Anne's backstory and Freyja's relationship to the school (though Balogh does give enough info here for you to catch up, anyway).

I just finished ITS and I think it's one of her best. I was disappointed with her last few, but this one's just solid story-telling all the way through. I loved it.
