Institutional Memory

I didn't watch The West Wing when it first aired, but I started watching probably near the end of the second season. Watched regularly for a couple of seasons, then sporadically after Aaron Sorkin left. The last season -- meh, the campaigning was not so interesting. The next to last episode, though, Institutional Memory, absolutely slays me. Allison Janney and Timothy Busfield just nail the last scene. (Yes, I'm a CJ-Danny 'shipper. I loved an early episode in which he bought her a live goldfish, thinking she liked them, when really she liked Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers.)   Part of me is tempted to add a copy of the last season to my DVD collection, just to have that episode at hand. But I'm not willing to spend $44.99 to have one hour of television. :sigh:

Blood and Chocolate

I saw a comment on the Reader to Reader Message Board over at AAR about a movie adaptation of Blood & Chocolate. So, off to IMBD to investigate. And there is a movie coming out. I'm not sure if I'm pleased or horrified. Will the book be butchered? or will the movie work? Olivier Martinez is Gabriel. Mrow. The fellow playing Aiden looks vaguely familiar. Otherwise, I don't recognize any of the cast. Release date: 26 January.

I may have to pull out my copy of B&C to re-read after I finish Meljean Brook's Demon Angel,
