The awesomeness of Jane

Go read her editorial about print media reducing their book sections.  Because people don't read and they don't care about book review sections in the paper.  While said book review sections exclude one of the largest communities of readers.  Because it isn't just about literacy, it's about snobbery & literacy.

It's totally about snobbery. When I read that comment by Deborah Smith about how Weaver was so predictable in the books she would choose to review and what she would say about them, it really hit home. These major book editors have a myopic view of literature and its not about the "bigger tent discussion" at all, but rather about controlling the discussion about what is considered "good" literature.
