Off the top of my head, these are the YA books that are keepers for me:
L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables series Irene Hunt's Across Five Aprils and Up A Road Slowly Cynthia Voigt's Tilghman family series (but some I liked better than others) Laurie Halse Anderson's Speak MaryJanice Davidson's YA book, which I reviewed here (http://jmcarr2001.livejournal.com/27629.html). Not a Top 10 book for me, but I did like it a lot. The Witch of Blackbird Pond, which I reviewed here (http://jmcarr2001.livejournal.com/26319.html), which has been a keeper for me since middle school.
Let me think about it and peruse my bookshelves, then I'll either blog about YA books or post a list.
ps -- I have Twilight in the TBR mountain - I think I picked it up after reading your review.
