Blah, blah, blah.

If I hear Carrie Underwood's song, Jesus Take the Wheel, one more time I'm going to vomit. It's playing almost everywhere. Country stations, easy listening stations, Top 40 stations, Jack FM (all music no dj, playing multiple musical genres), even the 70-80-90s station. The only stations not playing it are the Spanish-language station and the hard rock station. If I wanted to listen to songs about religious conversion/redemption, I'd listen to gospel.

Heh. This is why I shun radio 95% of my time -- CD's at work, in my car, etc. I started this when my local modern rock station went all rap/hip-hop, and then all the other local rock stations went on boy-band overload. When I do listen to radio, it's b/c Mr. JP has control of the controls, or I'm waiting to hear a traffic report.

The only time I listen to the radio is in the car for traffic and weather reports. Otherwise, CDs all the time for me, too. It's not as if much music gets played on the radio between 5:50-6:10 am, when I'm in the car in the morning, between news, traffic and weather. But every morning for the last week, I've heard that song. The morning dj read an email from a listener asking her not to play it (b/c her husband would literally take his hands off the wheel and screech, Jesus take the wheel! The dj laughed and then played the song immediately. Ugh.

I would then call and request the song "Hang the DJ." *eg*
