Books are winging their way to my house

People are bugfuck crazy sometimes.  Is there a full moon?  Or have people gone off their meds?

I picked up a copy of Kalen Hughes' debut, Lord Sin.  As I've mentioned (ad nauseum), I'm not a big historical fan, but I appreciate Hughes' thoughtful comments at SBTB, so I picked up a copy when I saw it.  And the bargain price $3.99 (or $4.99?) didn't hurt either.

And my copies of No Humans Involved (Kelley Armstrong) and The Crusades Through Arab Eyes (Amin Maalouf) are on their way to me.

Yes, full moon. Someone commented as such on SBTB.

It's really unbelievable to me what happened today in Romancelandia. It's taken me three hours to catch up!

Oh, hey, did you see on RTB someone questioning that I could do real literary criticism because I'd never written book?! I sat on my hands and Laura V. responded for me, thank god.

I haven't checked out RTB lately. Usually, if I see a link at a blog I check regularly, I'll go over.

I'm back! (You probably didn't know I was gone, didja?) What does writing a book have to do with ability to perform literary criticism? I've never died, but I know how to probate estates. Are most art critics artists? Are most movie critics directors or producers? There's a huge disconnect there. Different skills entirely. Which was your point originally.
